Hinch5
Have had my ghost skimmer running for 9 days on my tank. It's been producing some dark tea coloured skimmate, but I have noticed that my ammonia levels have been shooting up to .5 (corals not happy at all). So closely looked at my skimmer today and I see that bubbles and skimmate are travelling up the sides of the collection cup and slowly pouring through the rubber o-ring. Any body else have an issue like this? I'm not happy at all with this skimmer. Especially as it was expensive. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment
anizato
Sorry to hear you are having this problem. You should reach out to IM maybe it is faulty or you perhaps are doing something wrong? Link to comment
mystersyster
It's not very popular for it's price point, as with most nano skimmers. If thats the case it's defective. I'd contact customer service. Link to comment
Hinch5
I sent them a scathing email today. I have my receipt to will probably try to return to my lfs where I bought it. Link to comment
mystersyster
I decided to not go with an IM tank for this reason. They don't give you enough space in the back to put in a better nano skimmer. Then they overcharge with their own skimmer. Link to comment
