anizato
So excited to announce the beginning of this tank! This is supposed to become a Flurry Clownfish + Anemone tank. Perhaps adding a Firefish or Goby+Shrimp pair. Was considering a Sexy Shrimp platoon of 5 or 7, but someone told me the Clownfish will destroy the shrimp that approaches the Anemone. Flurry came from my 50gallon nano. She was being extremely aggressive towards Onyx the other clownfish. It seemed like they were two females, since they would both fight back pretty viciously, Onyx was victim to tile-surfing twice (luckily I was literally 3 feet away on both occasions when I heard the splash from the tank and found the babe on the floor), which is why I opted for separating them instead of getting rid of one. I prefer Onyx in the large display, as Flurry has a lot more detail to her pattern and can be better appreciated in the smaller display. Light: AI Prime HD White Display: IM Fusion 10 Filtration: InTank Media Basket w/Carbon bag + Filter Floss + 9lb of LR + 10lb of AragAlive Fiji Pink Heater: Cobalt 50w Flow: MJ1200 as return w/SpinStream Nozzle + Stock pump in display ATO: AutoAqua Smart ATO Micro Livestock: 1 Flurry Snowflake Clownfish This is the shot at Home Depot from the stand pre-built DIY proof... Took 3 days to get here... InTank perfectly built filter basket. SO AWESOME! I love this thing. I put the floss on the top, then a bag with carbon, and below is a smaller bag with GFO. What do you guys think about the aquascape? I decided to stick the two rocks together, so it can be easier to move them around to have the Anemone facing the front of the display... riiiiiight! Tank ran for the first 3 weeks without light. Nitrate is at 10ppm and Ammonia is at 0ppm. I will probably let the tank run with the light on for a week before I put Flurry the Clownfish in there. I checked the large tank, pH is 8.4 and SG is 1.024. Nano's pH is 8.2 and SG is 1.024. what do you guys think? Should I add the clownfish now or is it a good idea to wait? can't hurt, right? or is the lack of ammonia in there a problem? Link to comment

anizato
Hey everyone! Happy to announce the very first shipment of livestock has arrived!! Exciting stuff! All of this was purchased by winning some bids over at Ebay from a Fish Store in San Diego Aqua-SD. They look pretty legit, the shipment was pretty awesome. Everything was packed nice and tight, no dripping, no leakage. No heatpack either because temp in California is around 80F anyway ...of course the day they arrived it was 67F in San Francisco... but whatever, I was here to receive them and float them immediately, which is where they currently, sitting in my 50gal sump (same temp as nano); this way I don't have to mess with switching off my ATO-heater-return or removing water from the Fusion10. I have some water to make, so they will float for a couple of hours. For some reason the forum is no longer allowing me to upload pictures, they all turn up as an error. So I started an album on photobucket. http://s1378.photobucket.com/user/anizatoreef/library/THE%20NANO Link to comment
