ok, i was just about to order a 2x36w unit from www.aquatics-online.co.uk, as it says the ''Light emitting panel is 350mm x 93mm and is centrally located on the underside of the unit''. This would be perfect for my 15'' tank. Then looking for the bulbs i noticed that the bulbs are 19''. Thats a big difference. Does the 19'' include the plasticy bit on the end or is it 19'' actual bulb. Any hows this still confuses me. i take it they are wrong.

Your link didn't work for me, but I can tell you this. I have a 5.5 u.s. gallon tank. I believe it is 16" across. I have 2 36 watts on it which i purchased at www.ahsupply.com. the bulbs seem to be more like 15" or so across not including the base. I think it looks fine and works well. Having said that I doubt that a bulb which is stated to be 19" would have 4" of socket/base to it. You should be able to find one similar to what i have...17.5" length but more like 15" not including the base. Hope that helps a tad.
