moy71
Hi all. Six months ago i got a couple of turbo snails and it appears they've been breeding. Saw at least 10 baby snails on the glass. I imagine they'd eventually triple/quardriple over time. should i be worried? if they run out of food, they might die causing fouling of the water. comments most welcome. Link to comment
vegasgundog
You could put Nori in, they eat more of it than my starry blenny. When big enough trade them in at local fish store. Never had baby snails in my tank make it. Link to comment
cruiZe
I've had snails breed also, pretty cool. Eventually the food supply is a limiting factor and they just become part of the sandbed. You'd probably make the tank more dirty by trying to keep them alive than if they die, so I'd just sit back and watch what happens. Link to comment
Justind823
Could also be collinistas if you haven't already looked into it. Link to comment
moy71
i was told it was turbo snails so i just took it for granted. my issue is i've seen some die already. where the shell is, some diatoms can be found in the immediate area. i really think there isn't enough food for them in a small nano tank such as mine (AquaOne mini reef 90 = approx 20gallons). i did try the nori trick, however it broke apart and i had nori bits and pcs floating everywhere.
