Toadstool Mushroom Leather Coral

I have a new Toadstool Mushroom Leather Coral, i got it from a guy whos 55g was infected with ich, it sits on an 8# LR, i have QT'ed the whole thing in a 5.5gallon nano with an Ikea Halogen desk lamp over it, (crude but desperate) 1. how long to wait before it is Ich free for sure (meaning no cysts or anything) 2. is it going to be ok in a 5.5 gallon nano for now, its fairly large 8# rock and the coral is 9X8 large, nothing is in the nano except freshly made salt water that has been sitting for a day, should i just put the whole thing in my tank?? i appreciate the help!!! thanks!

ich can last for 30 days in a tank.you cuold rent a uv sterilizer(there not worth buying)
