Toadstool Mushroom Leather Coral

I have a new Toadstool Mushroom Leather Coral, i got it from a guy whos 55g was infected with ich, it sits on an 8# LR, i have QT'ed the whole thing in a 5.5gallon nano with an Ikea Halogen desk lamp over it, (crude but desperate) 1. how long to wait before it is Ich free for sure (meaning no cysts or anything) 2. is it going to be ok in a 5.5 gallon nano for now, its fairly large 8# rock and the coral is 9X8 large, nothing is in the nano except freshly made salt water that has been sitting for a day, should i just put the whole thing in my tank?? i appreciate the help!!! thanks!t

to be on the safe side i would wait at least a month before putting in in your main tank. you could do a fresh water dip before placing it in your tank but im not sure how well that would work. the toadstool shoud be fine in the tank you have for it, my only concern would be the level of usable light it gets from a halogen.
