Squid3121
Hello, today I did my weekly water change to my tank, when I went to change the polyfil I decided to really take a look in my chambers when I found a TON! Of these white cylinders with like a hairy end attached all over the walls. Any idea what they could be and are they harmful? And this algae recently poped up in tank as well just in this rock Link to comment
FlowerMama
Top is pineapple sponges, good guys, they jut clean the water. Link to comment
fishfreak0114
You'll probably see the level of pineapple sponges fluctuate, mine come and go Link to comment

Dylan.N
Second picture looks like hair algae. Looks like a good situation for you if it's just on that one rock. Take the rock out of the water and scrub the algae off with a tooth brush or something. Link to comment
fishfreak0114
I'd scrub it off and then carefully scrub the rock with peroxide. Make sure not to get any on corals. Rinse the rock in sw and then back in the tank. Link to comment
Dylan.N
Also, before the next time you do a water change, take a turkey baster and blow water on the rocks to get all the sand/debris off. Link to comment
