clown tang

I know about the "tang police" around here so I'm just asking this out of curiousity. I was at my LFS today and they had a clown tang that was really cool. Are they like yellow tangs in that they are not good for smaller tanks (like a 20 high)?

definitely not good for small tanks, not good for any tank for that matter, these are among the most aggressive fish you can find, they will attack and kill just about anything.

In a nutshell YES!!!! very bad idea. Even if you overlook their aggressive nature AND the fact that they get to be 15" in length you still have to contend with the fact that they are a very difficult fish to keep and should only be housed by a seasoned aquarist with ridiculously large tank(s).

From Marinedepotlive.com "Though this is a commonly used species when small, this fish can become a very intolerant bully towards its tankmates, getting progressively worse with growth." nuff said!
