MKramer
My fiance wants to start a species tank with a school of green chromis, but will only buy captive bred. Has anyone heard of a vendor or breeder that does green chromis? I've seen FFE say that they have tank-raised ones, but the eggs are actually collected out of the ocean. They don't really have much information on the process, and we would definitely prefer true captive-bred. Any leads? Thanks, Matthew Link to comment

Dave ESPI
yep thats it, sorry I knew ( was talking to Toly the other day) that they were dabbling with chromis.. AFAIK....... there hasnt been much success with them... hence the cancelation of the project. FWIW... ERI in Cali.. has raised Pelegaic Tanks and CB a LOT of POST Larval fish recently... I saw some amazing Unicornfish ( HUGE TANGS) in a reef they had set up andt hye were like 3 inches.. they grew them from 1.4 inch larve... among a dozen other fish.. they even had CB Moorish Idols that ate FLAKE FOOD ! more to come soon. I HOPE ! Link to comment
