First aquascape ever in my BC29. Thoughts?

As long s you can clean all the way around the rock structure, that looks good.

 

For visual interest, you can try rotating the rock work by a little bit so it's not all in one parellel plane to the viewer.

Nice, but you probably don't want to use egg crate under it. I've seen that cause a bunch of issues down the road.

Really? what kind of issues would it cause? would it be better if i just had it under the rock and not the whole tank bottom?

it makes it hard for sand stirring inverts to get down there and do their job, makes it hard for the sand bed to function properly. Once you're set on the layout of the rocks, just use egg crate under the areas that are touching the glass instead of the whole bottom of the tank.
