So this isn't exactly a nano but I'm hoping for some advice. This is my current planned aquascape for my 6ft long 180g tank. The plan is to be a mixed reef, several tangs but mostly small groups of fish like anthias and royal gammas.

 

The small rocks under the left most island and the in front of the column second from the right are just there for support right now.

I like all of the open space, but would personally like to see a few more caves, ledges and a tad bit more height on the center rock work.

I'm with GrandLotus. More variety of height would be really nice. Google "iwagumi aquascape." also, this article has some really nice guidelines for rock placement and hierarchy.

 

Also think about the grow-out height and spread of the corals you plan to add...they should help define your aquascape.
