Marc.The.Shark
Need to start thinking about the optimal height for my DIY light, so that I can mount. Tank 36x12x10 Light 30x6x4 4 NanoBox V3 arrays evenly spaced Was thinking in the 10-12" range over the tank. Tank is shallow @ 10". Is there a better height, lower or higher? Link to comment
jedimasterben
Sounds about right to me, but once you get it all set up it would something to play around with Link to comment
Marc.The.Shark
Thanks Ben. The only issue I have with that is it's going to be a static mount, once I mount to the wall, I'm committed! Lol. Trying to get it figured out before I put a bunch of holes in my wall. I've got that projector mount that I'm using & mounting directly to the drywall, so I only have one shot!! Link to comment
DaveFason
Try anything from 8-12" for this. Are you abel to rig up something that would hold it in place for you to see? -Dave Link to comment
Marc.The.Shark
I was figuring about 10", which falls right in the middle of your range. Just couldn't find anything with distance from the bottom par #'s. I think between you & Ben saying 10" is about right, I'll just put er there. I always have intensity adjustments. Don't really have a way to temporarily mount, it's pretty heavy, went with a large heat sink in addition to the fans, always going overboard! Lol. Thanks Dave Link to comment
