JSinger884
I am in desperate need of crushed coral. Does anyone have any extra crushed coral they would like to donate or sell?? Link to comment
printerdown01
Where do you live I have about 5 lbs that I REALLY don't want!! I was hoping for something that was as white as the sand I currently have... If you are in the SD area I'm shure we can work something out... Link to comment
JSinger884
Unfortunatly I live in St. Louis. I would be really grateful to anyone who can ship some crushed over here. Link to comment
NaNO ReeFiN
You LFS doesn't have any JSinger? Link to comment
JSinger884
I already have a deep aragonite sand bed. All I am in need for is a small supply of crushed coral, instead of the minimum 10LBS bag sold at the LFS. I am planning on buying a jawfish and they need a variety of different materials for the sand bed. Link to comment
Djm9288
Hey JSinger, where in St. Louis do you live? I live in Des Peres (West County)? I dont have any crushed coral, but it would be nice to meet fellow STL reefers. DAniel Link to comment
JSinger884
I live in Ladue. What LFS do you go to? Link to comment
Djm9288
I go to Saltwater City, and sometimes Andy's Animals in Valley park. Where do u go? Daniel Link to comment
JSinger884
I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THOSE STORES!! Where are they?? I go to the Clayton Fish Emporium and Tropics in st charles Link to comment
printerdown01
How much is you LFS selling 10 lbs of crushed coral for??? It is pretty cheap around here... Link to comment
Djm9288
IMO they are the best LFS in STl, everyone else would probably agree. Salt Water City is in Clayton on Forsyth, their number is 314-726-4000. and Andy's animals in Valley Park DAniel Link to comment
JSinger884
Wow, im definatly gonna have to check out those stores. Have you been to Tropics or the Clayton Pet Emporium? Printerdown-The crushed coral is not really a financial burden, but I was just wondering if anyone has any left over that they dont need, before I go out to buy at the LFS Link to comment
Djm9288
I havent been to them yet, are they nice? Link to comment
JSinger884
the pet emporium is very serious about thier fish. They wont let you buy a fish till they know everything about your tank, whether it be freshwater or salt. Tropics on the other hand, has just about everything a reef keeper would ever want, except the fish are not exactly kept in the nicest condition (they have a 20 or 30 gallon tank with countless yellow tangs) Link to comment
Djm9288
how are they with prices? Link to comment
JSinger884
The Pet Emporium is pricey on everything, ALTHOUGH you do know your getting quality fish. Tropics is definatly cheaper. Link to comment
Djm9288
how much would an ocellaris clown range from? At SWC they have the best quality fish around, seriously! But their clowns are like 30 bux! Daniel Link to comment
JSinger884
At the pet emporium they are 21 bucks and they are in great shape! Wierd, but for a store that has everything, tropics DOES NOT have clowns. Link to comment
Djm9288
cool, how old is yur tank? how old r u? Link to comment
JSinger884
I am 18. I actually just started my 30 gallon tank 3 weeks ago. How old are ya and your tank? Link to comment
Djm9288
my tank is 3 months tomarrow, and I am 14 tomarrow. Daniel Link to comment
