This isn't a long term review just a heads up for other biocube and nano owners. When I was searching for a reactor I had a hard time finding info online.

My 2 must have in a reactor were.

- it fit next to my intank media basket

- and it was an internal reactor not hang on.

I went with the aquamaxx fr-s internal reactor.

It fit perfectly where I wanted it to and I can not hear it over anything else running on my tank. I realize as I'm typing this I should of taken some pics before I installed it.

I'm running carbon and gfo mixed together and packed in with foam so they don't tumble. Here are some pics installed.

I bought one of those for my BC 29. It's not running yet as I am still cycling. How much of each, carbon and gfo do you use? Are you using the stock sponges that it comes with? Is your pump set on minimum, maximum or somewhere in between?

I had to make new sponges that fit more snug. The stock ones had room for carbon and gfo to slide past them. I'm running brs rox carbon and there regular gfo. 3 tablespoons carbon and 1 tablespoon gfo. The pump is set in the middle any more and the flow was to strong, it started to push the foam around.

I have the same reactor. Sponges are slightly too small as mentioned. One other small gripe is the pump control is notched, so if you try to adjust it in pump it's easy to click it too far and overflow it. Not a big deal. It's a non issue in an AIO tank in the chamber as you'd have to pull it out anyway. By the way, it fits in an IM nuvo 20 no issues.

I own 2 aquamaxx reactors and both are good quality and awesome bang for the buck.

Any pics of the reactor in the nuvo fusion 20?

not at the moment, I'll see if i can't get one monday or tuesday, it can sit flush with the top with no issues

Thx, do you think it would fit in the fusion 10?

I'd guess yes. But you should go to IM's website, they have the tank manuals on there. No pics yet, sorry. But like I said, it fits easily and can be submerged flush.
