aviator300
Tank is 5 gal. 16 x 8 x 10. I have used a CC PAR 38 24W bulb over it with no problems other than some shading at the ends. I'm thinking about replacing it with the 40 watt version but I can't locate much (recent) information, reviews, etc on this bulb. I like the idea of the added power and am not too worried about "overkill" due to the fact that I can raise and lower it and also dim it. Does anyone out there have any experience with this bulb or any advice, suggestions, etc..THANKS VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR ALL OPINIONS. Link to comment
FishI
Hey Aviator. I have one over my 20 tall. Does very well. Definitely shadowing on the sides. 24inch tank.... But plenty of light in the middle. Plus coral compulsion has great customer support. I bought one of the first ones and they had to replace twice. When the new model came out and mine failed they gave me a new one. =) I think the spread would be perfect for a 16 inch tank. Link to comment
