joey13254
I have a 29 gallon tank. For filtration i have an aquaclear 70 with matrix and carbon in it and i have a marineland c220 canister filter that has bio balls and the coarse filter pads and the fine filter pad at the top. I initially started to run the canister filter to help with flow and was wondering if the aquaclear would be enough filtration on its own since i now have a wavemaker. I haven't got corals yet and only have 2 clowns. My tank has been cycled since Oct 2014 Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
How much live rock have you installed? That's key.. Link to comment
smeagol108
As long as u have a good amount of live rock y should be able to ditch the canister filter with the bio balls. I run my tank with just an ac70. Twelve pounds of live rock. Mine is like 16 gallons. Link to comment

Murphs_Reef
You should be fine with that then Link to comment
ReeferReefer
Yeah I would ditch the canister for sure. If you need more flow add a powerhead. If you need more filtration consider and HOB skimmer. Link to comment
