timeconsumer
I'm researching purchases for my 12"x12"x12" rimless softie dominated cube I plan to build. I don't mind doing DIY work with LEDs/drivers and soldering, but a simple and elegant mounting solution would be important. Control and programming isn't important to me. Of course the easiest thing to me seems to be a par38 bulb or a Kessil A150. If I could do the light + mounting solution for under $100 that would be ideal, but I could spend more. Any suggestions on what to go for? Link to comment
Nickmcg
I have a coral compulsion par 38 over my 7g cube and have been very happy with it. Link to comment
do_0b
I would go with a kessil. You might be able to get a used one for around $100. Link to comment
timeconsumer
Yeah, I've been keeping my eyes on the used gear pages of lots of websites. My concern with the Kessil is it's really a lot of power for just some softies. At least a par38 I can use a cheap dimming switch on. Any thoughts of cheap mounting solutions? Link to comment
