szesteve
what's the primer for? Could I use silicone to seal the edges instead of cement or glue? Any idea what the purple cleaner is too? Link to comment
blide
You need primer to glue the pvc together (it's chemical reaction). WHat is the Black filter you have on the intake? Is that homemade or something you bought? Link to comment
szesteve
I think that's like a black sponge thingy. Link to comment

Or does it not matter? Link to comment
birdman204
Primer first.... then glue.... then join the pieces.... glue both pieces of PVC and insert wihile twisting (when possible) HOLD THEM TOGETHER.... they can push out from each other. You don't need to hold tightly , just make sure they don't move. Voila! Link to comment

szesteve
Thanks! I finally managed to gather all the parts! One question though. Did you use thinwall PVC rated at 200PSI? The guy at home hardware told me those weren't meant for water and told me to go with thickwall. Melev's website said thinwall so i just bought thinwall. Wanna know what u used though. szesteve
Tigs, Did u use teflon tape on all threaded parts and 2 part cement on all smooth parts? I'm thinking of doing that and siliconing the outside portions of the connections. Link to comment
TiGs
I used teflon tapes on all threaded parts, it doesnt leak. If the pvc is glued correctlly it will not leak. Link to comment
