Should I remove this shelf rock?

I've had my 20g reef for almost 1 year now. The scape has remained fairly unchanged. I originally thought this shelf rock would be great for coral growth, but I've always had issues getting corals that are short, so as not to fill up the entire vertical space. Also, I originally thought it would give my inhabitants more hiding space, but I've never once seen the fish back/under there.

I'm starting to think that reducing the amount of rock would clean it up visually and make it easier for me to fill all of my rock with corals.

Here's some pictures as of today:

This is the rock in question:

This would leave the other rocks looking something like this:

I'd say leave it! It gives you more space for coral, and once everything grows out you won't notice any unnatural/man-made appearance. I think it compliments the solo rock on the right very nicely. Great looking tank!

I think if you leave it and cover it with zoas it would look awesome. Glue a few different kinds down across the rock and in a few months it will look great.
