I know people add ordinary salt to FW tanks to cure ich and so forth, but they avoid the iodized stuff saying its toxic and kills fish. I really think you dont want to add that stuff to the tank. The iodine present in your salt mix is probably enough anyway. Why attempt to dose something that you cant even measure the accurate concentration of? Do we really know just how much Iodine is required? I think the levels present in NSW should not be exceeded. Link to comment
