Dave ESPI
I too Vote over 7 inches..... you will have 3 inches of water in a 10 gallon tank.... PERFECT ! sheesh...... 4 inches max will be fine. Just be aware they will escavate and stir it up a LOT , so having corals in the tank is useless. They will be required to actively remove particles of sand from their surfaces with muchous and it will require large amounts of energy. ALSO the jawfish depending on species, will EAT the sand or sift it and kill a sand bed. You need to have a VERY diverse grain and shell frag size for them to dig and support a burrow. Hope You do lots of reading. : Link to comment
gobies
What Dave said. That's I plan on doing the jawfish in the tank with the seahorses, where I won't have any real corals -- just fake ones for the seahorses to hitch onto. Link to comment
