weight of ac500 fuge

just had a newbie qustion if anyone can help me with

I setup an ac500 fuge about 3 weeks ago and was just wondering about the weight of it

I'm using the small plastic piece that pops on the bottom of the filter which was supplied with the ac500 to make it level as it hangs on the back of the tank

is there any danger that the weight of the ac500 may crack the tank?

btw the tank is an 18g tall

any help would be appreciated

I wouldn't think so. I think the 500 holds less than a gallon of water total. Salt water weighs a bit more than 8 pounds per gallon, so I woudln't worry. The ac500 is designed to hang on tanks. Hope that helps.
