Motolife Posted February 5, 2016 Author Share Posted February 5, 2016 Ordered my self a jebao DP-4 dosing pump, try and keep my levels a bit more stable. Gona be using Seachem fusion 1 and 2, one thing I'm not sure about is if I will be able to dilute so can perfect my dosing. In other news did a slight rescape, moved the filter to the side of the tank to change the flow up, removed 2 more cool white LEDs from the circuit, and moved the light up to 16" from water level. Happy with all the changes, felt like I was just getting to much light. Try and snag some pics soon and hopefully figure out how I'm gona set up my dosing haha Link to comment
Motolife Posted February 25, 2016 Author Share Posted February 25, 2016 Pretty big update, Got the doser all hooked up and everything seems to be working great! I have it set to dose Alk and Calc 12 times a day spaced an hour apart. It doses 1 ml a time and i only wanted to dose 1.2ml a day so i dilluted each supplement 12:1 with water and so far so good. I also got a Coral Compulsion 14w 18k vibrance, the other light was just to much light and the colour in the coral was sucking so hopefully this will change things up, and so far i love it! Crazy how bright it is, makes me think i had my last light set to low in brightness, i wanted a damn/dusk effect kinda moonlight thing so i attached some blue strip lighting to the bulb which works great so far. I have the light at about 12" from water so gona see how everything reacts. Also i got two air plants to put on top of the filter to hide some cords a little. It really doesn't do anything when the par light is on, it just adds a nice dawn and dusk effect, i wish the par bulb was a little more blue however the color temp is starting to grow on me. I just had no idea were to have the other light settings at, it either seemed to be to much or to little. This just seemed more practicle and i like the simple just plug it in, set the height and leave it. Also looks alot cleaner, so far everything is responding really well to the light. Motolife Posted March 30, 2016 Author Share Posted March 30, 2016 Havnt updated in a while, not alot of changes just letting everything grow, everything has been doing great, i thought i was gona loose my stylophora as it had no polyps at all, however it has made a big come back and is looking way better. My acro is also starting to encrust the rock. Had to move hammer as it has 2 new heads and has gotten pretty big, almost fragging time. Still trying to figure my dosing schedule out, about 1.5ml a day right now. ordered some rox carbon and gfo, gona try that and see if it helps keep tank cleaner longer. Have a big order of frags and such coming soon too, lots of sps so pretty exited. Heres some quick pics. Link to comment
Motolife Posted April 14, 2016 Author Share Posted April 14, 2016 Update time, lots of frags added the place i ordered from messed up on shipping dates so they ended up tossing in three free frags, (1 acan and 2 acros) so instead of 4 sps i ended up with 6 so tanks pretty full now haha. So in total i got 2 acans, 3 palys, 2 zoas, 1 millipora, 4 types of acropora, 2 nija star snails, 1 porcelain crab, and i saw my clown goby nipping at sps, so i traded him in for a skunk clown which so far has already molted and seems to be doing well along with everything else. Now time to just try and keep it all alive haha. Link to comment
