MrHandkerchief
Hello everyone This is weird. I did a 30% water change in my FOWLR 10gallon tank and added some salt as usual. It is now very cloudy. The cloudiness only came when I added the saltwater mix the second time to bring it up to 1.024 from 1.022. Parameters are all ok. Can anyone offer a guess for why this is happening? Link to comment
ReeferReefer
Did you premix the salt water before adding it to the tank? You should never add salt to a tank with living creatures in it. Link to comment
dingusplease
Hi there! Cloudiness is normal for doing water changes, especially for 30%. No problem, unless it isn't going away after a a few hours. It's a combination of substrate being stirred up, stuff being blown off the rocks, and sometimes gas being released from the water (think of how warm water from the faucet sometimes looks cloudy for a while.) Hope this helps! Link to comment
