aaron186
Just got a yellow watchman goby 3 days ago. I have a 10 gal with a glass lid with a small cut out for my HOB. I haven't seen the goby in day. I have lifted a few of the rocks and there is no sign of him. I am hoping he is still hiding somewhere. I fear he might have pulled a houdini and jumped out of the half inch or so wide cut out for the HOB. I looked a few feet around the tank and didnt see a fish on the floor (I live alone with no pets). How wide of a search radius should I look to see where it might have jumped? Link to comment

ajmckay
It's not a matter of where 'he grips it, it's a simple matter of weight ratios. A 5 oz. bird can't carry a 1 lb YWG. Hahaha! I wouldn't worry too much - it's probably hiding. Did you check inside the HOB? Hehe. Next time you come into the room approach very very quietly just as close as you can see what's in the tank. Maybe it's darting into a hole or something when it senses your approach (vibrations in the floor). Link to comment
