inTank
We made the short trip down Saturday to check out the Aquatic Experience. Not as an exhibitor so I had the freedom to do business without the need to keep running back to a booth. It was a nice setup, apparently they get around 4,500 visitors for the weekend and it is very kid friendly. It covers fresh and saltwater including pond so there is something to get your water at least half wet. You can even get your hand stabbed by an Urchin or chewed off by an Alligator. Some of the vendors mentioned that a large chunk of that walk through don't even have an aquarium. So shows like this get them excited about the hobby. Problem is it's impossible to sell someone new tires when they take the bus to work. By far the most impressive display at the show. This tank was huge, 60 foot long or more. crazy Making old iMac's into 3 gallon FW tanks. Cool principal, gave him a few pointers on acrylic for the future. http://www.jakeharms.com/ The cure for cancer, duh Reefwise with nice displays http://reefwisesales.com/pages/about-us The pleco feeder. Bought one for my dad who brings in his HUGE plecos from the pond inside for the winter http://www.theplecofeeder.com/about.html And I just got my vision back from MACNA http://orphek.com/ This hobby is getting way to much like real life Planted tank contest My guess as to who the winner will be Bad time of the month Oh Hai This kid has it all right. Red Sea, best reefing tank at the show http://www.redseafish.com/ He dead ARRRRR Link to comment
blkhwkz
I was there Friday and talked to the people who setup the long aquarium, they said it was sold to someone already. They started setting it up Tuesday night until Thursday night at 11pm. Added some finishing touches Friday morning. It was a very impressive display. Link to comment
