mystersyster
I had a mushroom just like this that died a long time ago. When it died it got super small. This seems very healthy other than the obvious. Curious to see what a more experienced mushroom keeper might think. Quote Link to comment
righttirefire
I've killed more mushrooms than I care to think about. Something is irritating it. It can definitely recover. Quote Link to comment

antsypants
Mesenterial filaments, as already stated, its guts they usually expel them when they're stressed. Just wait it out for a day or two and it should go back to normal. If your tank's really small, maybe run a bit of carbon during that time as well. Shrooms also naturally grow new babies via pedal laceration or by growing new mouths and dividing like a cell. I don't believe expelling mesenterial filaments is a precursor to either but I do hope you get some babies from that thing ..so I can get one from you.. Quote Link to comment
