isaacharry
So this might sound like a dumb question, but i am in the middle of building at 1200 gallon aquarium, and i would like to know what exactly is a Peninsula Reef or a Peninsula Aquarium? Link to comment
Psychosis
It's an aquarium with both of the long edges exposed and one sort pane as the back panel. Sticks out from the wall a lot. Link to comment

PicoSavvy
In a peninsula tank the viewing area is normally smaller then the side panels, in a regular tank the viewing area is bigger then the side panels and dam a 1200 gallon reef. This is a peninsula tank Viewing panel is smaller then the side panels Normal tank, view area is bigger then the side panels. Link to comment

PicoSavvy
But the viewing area for peninsulas are usually the sides.. Depends on how you look at it. I like to view peninsula reef from the front panel which is usually smaller then the side panels Link to comment
Hig789
I consider a peninsula tank any one that the normal front, back and one of the ends are used for viewing. Link to comment
Newtybar
Overflow is located on the side instead of the back. This enables the tank to be displayed lengthwise sticking out from a wall, hence peninsula. Link to comment
Benny314
^^^ What he said ^^^ Normally used for when a tank is 3 sides viewable/a room divider. Link to comment
