kappa
sorry for the miscommunication in that last post. I meant to say that I don't want any more Xenia of any type, as I already have pulsing Xenia that is growing rapidly. Link to comment
kappa
looks like a Xenia. what should I do with this guy??? lethal injection? Link to comment
supernip
some sort of star polyps. ask adin Link to comment
adinsxq
i'll confirm nip's ID. it's of the family Briareidae. not Xeniidae (xenia or anthelia - notice the encrusting) treat it as gsp. nuke not necessary. based on the spread and uneven size of the polyps on the mat, you're looking at a coral that i bet is (was) underlit. good chances it will color up in better lighting conditions and form higher polyp density. hth Link to comment
kappa
okay, I will reposition the ricordia rock where the more light will be available to the pink guy. Link to comment
just dave
Looks like a Erythropodium sp. soft coral or possibly a Briareum sp. but from those pictures it looks like a Erythropodium sp. Link to comment
