Filterless Nano

I'm planning on setting up a new 10gal. Nano and was thinking about just using a HOB Refugium and that's it. The reason being my 10gal. is 20" long while the Refugium is 18" long leaving me no room to be able to add any other type of filtration to the back of the tank.

 

So would a 10gal. Nano with just a 4 gal. HOB Refugium be okay?

that's what I plan on doing with my 12gallon. I'm using a DYI HOB refugium, that's it. I just need to plumb it, but right now i'm testing for leaks.

What does DYI mean? I know DIY means Do it yourself,

 

and something else that bugs me, the symbol is pH for the chemistry term used to decifer acids and bases.

It'll definetly work. My 10 gallon filtration is from a 5.5g refugium. It also does have a hob filter but its not needed.

My 10g uses absoltuely no external filtration. Adding on a refugium, skimmer, or HOB powerfilter is purely icing on the cake. A nano can be fully functional without any of them.

nano-reefin, i though you were doin a 20? anyway that would work. you could always go with a skimmer and hob filter if your wanted to also.

Djm9288 pH is refered to decipher acids and bases in chemistry. What else is it used for???
