monkey4life
Nothing too crazy. I had everything excpet the lights already on hand, so this all fell into place. Some issues in the past 2 months have been filtration, temp control (small tank fluctuations) and to much flow. Started 4/13/15 5 gallon std tank Par 27 LED (45watts) 250gph wavemaker Hob refugium w/50 gph pump 25w heater Reefkeeper lite Roughly 15lbs live rock 10lbs or so of sand from another tank misc corals, mostly Zoa/Palys with some mushrooms and small SPS/LPS Day 1ish. Looked like this for 2 weeks until i figured out what worked. Started with an Aquaclear 70, but had flow issues, and it was to noisy for my office space. About 3 weeks in, Lights- 3 15w lights with ald 12v computer fan running on 8w to keep noise down. Wanted more rock, so I pulled some from the sump on my other tank. Now- Even more rock, and all the corals are growing well. Need to finish the stand, clean the glass, etc. Link to comment
javi
I wish I was handy enough to make those light fixtures. I would put on all of my tanks Link to comment
monkey4life
They are easy and cheap. Bulb sockets are $5, clamp is a buck, and each Par27 is $8. not bad for a 45w led setup. Link to comment
