aviator300
I had some extra live rock from "Gulf Live Rock" after starting my main tank and i put it in a 3 gal Picotope just to see what would grow from it. I've been nursing this Anemone for about 4 months by feeding the tank and also by direct feeding with raw shrimp. I want to see how big i can grow this and i'm hoping it is either Aptasia or Majano. Thoughts? BTW. it is about an inch across. Link to comment
Boggers
I would say not Majano or Aptasia, but not sure what it is. Link to comment
jamescstein
Check out http://www.reefs.org/forums/topic51289.html See alot of people calling it a light bulb anemone but nothing concrete. Seems it is a common gulf hitch hiker. We had 5 or so in my wifes 125. They didn't survive a dual dosing of prazipro. They don't seem to spread all that much before the prazi. Link to comment
amphipod
Just let it grow, it should be fine Link to comment
spanko
The banding around the tentacles leads me to believe it is an aiptasia. Link to comment

Tamberav
I have one on my gulf live rock. I left it to see what it would do.... it's been over a year and hasn't spread. From what I understand, Gulf live rock doesn't have the normal Aptasia we know of that spreads at plague per-portions but instead has some of its relatives. Link to comment

But as a genus aiptasia are pretty much world wide. Link to comment
