hey whats up w/ my cycle here is what it looks like so far

day one.25 ammonia no nitrite or nitrate

day2 no nitrite or nitrate . 25 ammonia

day3 ammonia .oo no nitrite or nitrate

day4 no nitrite no nitrate ammonia .25

day5 same as day 4

day6 same as day 4 and 5

day7 no nitrite or trate ammonia spiked to .50

day 8 ammonia ~.50 maybe slightly less nitrite spiked to .50no nitrate

day9 ammonia a strong .50 no nitrite or trate

PH CONSTANTLY AT 8.25

so on day 8 why did the nitrite spike to .5? ( all i can figure there was some unseen decay) im assuming that ammonia is still rising and in a few days to a week the nitrite will start rising again am i right?

If amonia is rising, then nitrites/nitrates (mostly nitrates) will rise... They will do this as amonia is converted to nitrites/nitrates by bacteria
