JMCollins24
I've been using Hikari Bio-Pure Mysis for a little while and I've always thawed and then strained them before introducing to the tank.. Now I'm reading that you really don't have to, which leads me to my question.. Do you strain or rinse your frozen foods? Is it really all that necessary anymore? Link to comment
porkchop-rob
Generally, I strain anything that is blister packed (cubed), but I have not been straining the larrys reef frenzy. Link to comment
CronicReefer
I use dr. Gs mysis and lrs reef frenzy. Never strained either food never had an issue, in fact dr. Gs even says do not thaw in water on package. Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
I don't strain mine but I dilute it with saltwater before feeding (almost like thawing). Link to comment
jedimasterben
Nope, and it was never necessary. You'd be tossing out nutrients and very small particles that are coral food. Link to comment
JMCollins24
Cool, guess I'll just stop dumping the water out before I throw it in the tank! Link to comment
Alexraptor
I feed my mandarin lobster eggs, never thaw. Leftover food and particles becomes pod food. ^_^ Link to comment
GT350pwns
I thaw all my frozen food in some tank water and inject it with a syringe into the tank. I've never had an issue. No straining or rinsing. Link to comment
