MKramer
How does one tell the difference between the florida and yuma species of ricordia? Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
Visually they look similar, but generally ricordia florida is available only as single farm-raised polyps (as it is illegal to collect them from the wild in the US), while ricordia yuma is usually from Tonga. Tasha Link to comment
MKramer
I got some sort of ricordia as a hitchhiker on my candycane. I'm guessing that since the candycane is an Indo-Pacific coral, the ricordia is a yuma, but it could have possibly attached itself in the LFS's holding tank. In which case it could be either. Not a bad hitchhiker, though. Especially when you consider the candycane only cost me $5, since it was nearly dead (but now looks gorgeous). Thanks for your help, again, Tasha.
