PicO Aquariums
Another batch in stock and ready to ship! IT'S BACK... Back by popular demand. The PicO SkiM 2.0 It was good before and now it's even better! The PicO SkiM 2.0 micro skimmer is perfect for any rimless pico or nano aquarium 15 gallons or less. In smaller aquariums heat and salinity swing are more dynamic then in larger systems. The PicO skim works to alleviate major swings by using tried and true limewood airstones. The benifit to using this system in your smaller aquarium is the ability not only fine tune the unit to produce a very dry skimmate but the complete lack of additional heat being introduced to your small volume of water. Keeping your collected skimmate more dry will leave less water drawn out of your system that is being replaced by top off water thus keeping your salinity levels in check. Other skimmers use impeller driven pumps to produce bubbles. The PicO SkiM uses limewood air driven bubble production. This means very fine bubbles and no additional heat added to the system by internal pumps. While this method of skimming may not work as well for larger aquariums it works perfect in many ways for our smaller systems.Specifications: Height - 9" Width - 3" Total depth - 3.75" In tank depth - 2.5" Included: PicO Skim 2.0 3ft of 1/2" black vinyl drain hose air adjustment tube Premium limewood airstone Features: Small in size Runs in as little as 4" of water No heat transfer from pump Finest bubbles Less salinity swing Hidden collection cup Easy fine tuning Requirements: 20 gallon rated or better air pump 1/4" air line Pre-Order HERE Setup Guide HERE Link to comment
