GobyMan
What does everyone use to examine your tank in the dark? I usually just use a small flashlight but I think I read something about using a "red" light so as not to disturb the inhabitants? Is it just a matter of shining the light through some red cloth? As always.... Thanks for the help!! Link to comment
Satchmo
I use red plastic wrap around a penlight. But last week, I bought one of those little 7w incandescent lights. In the dark, it really does a good job painting the tank red. I have it sort of jury-rigged in there now, but I plan on permanantly putting it in the canopy with one of those photosensors so it automatically goes on when the lights go off (another brilliant idea ala ESPI). Sahin
I just use a small torch and hold my finger in front of the beam and this works fine, I get enough light to see the critters etc. The red light idea would be nice though. Link to comment
