irishbing
What kind of fish should i get for my 20L? I was thinking about a pair of clarkis, or a goby. What do you guys think? Thanks Link to comment
20gallon
clarkiis get up to 5 inches each. Instead you can get a pair of smaller clowns such as the perculas and the goby. Make sure that the goby doesn't get too big either. Yellow watchmans are a good choice. Link to comment
irishbing
I like the clown goby. Does SPS have to be in the tank already for the clown goby? I like the sabae and clarki clowns, but i dont know if i should get 1 or 2 or not at all. I also like the watchman goby, and if i could i would like to do the pistol shrimp combo, do they need special sand? Link to comment
20gallon
watchman do not need special sand but they definitely like arogonite and sand no crushed coral it is too big and sharp. Link to comment
birdman204
Bing, the clown goby will be fine without any sps... but that is their natural environment. The clowns, 2 clowns will be fine in there. The watchman gobies can get large. If the sandbed does not contain other pieces of rubble and Crushed coral, their burrows will fall apart, otherwise, they may dig out around your rocks, they won't be able to have a "tunnel", and then the rocks could fall down if they push the sand away. The smaller gobies are more suited to nano reefs.. here is a link... Here's an article with info. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/GobioidPIX/Shri...ematodesAQ3.jpg These are smaller than the watchman gobies and also have symbiont shrimp. and here's the shrimp in my tank Link to comment
