inTank
If you haven't tried it yet now is the best time. For a limited time Chemi Pure Blue 11 oz is 32% off at inTank http://shop.mediabaskets.com/Boyd-Chemi-Pure-Blue-11oz-CPBLU11.htm Link to comment
StevieT
Blue. Basically elite plus purigen. Link to comment
scubafrogman
So if one was to replace Purigen/Chemi-pure elite with Chemi-pure blue what would be a good option for the middle compartment of the media rack?Maybe a sponge to build up beneficial bacteria? Link to comment
StevieT
Just say no to sponges. The bio filtration is in your live rock. Depends on what your tank may need phosphate remover? Link to comment
scubafrogman
I thought about some sort of phosphate remover but then read the discription of Chemipure Elite which states that it reduces phosphate so I didn't know if it would be overkill.I was having better luck with my sponges. I removed the sponges in my BC29 and replaced with media basket and Tunze and now I have an extreme GHA problem. Link to comment
StevieT
But you wouldn't be using CP Elite anymore. Depends on the phosphate levels. Plastic doesn't cause GHA. Sponges don't prevent GHA Link to comment
BluCrab
So Steve you recommend this over the Elite ? Link to comment
StevieT
In a general case yes. It's a much better value than purchasing 2+ medias to do the same thing. Link to comment
