kimura
I went to PetCo the otherday for some silicone, and I noticed a Sea Test from Red Sea (I think) priced at $7.58 It came with 20 test for Ph, NO2,NO3, and Ammonia. When I asked for a price check, the cashier said that it was for sale, originally 39.99 down to $3.98! I had to get it just for the price. Anyone here use Red Sea Test Kits? Link to comment
Sahin
Thats a pretty big reduction. Test kits have some kind of "shelf life" be sure that its not too old, perhaps gauge its performance with another test kit you already have. Just thought I'd mention this. If its a line of stock they are going to discontinue, then its probably fine. I am always wary of products with massive price reductions. Link to comment
Physh1
Yes, RedSea kits DO have a shelf life. There are imprints on the bottom of every kit box. Make sure it is not expired to far beyond the date or it will be off by a bit. Cameron Link to comment
kimura
Good point... It said on the plastic baggies good till 12/05. I hope it's still ok. Well I could just get refills and use the color chart. That should be worth $4 bucks right? Link to comment
Sahin
If its within the expiry date its fine. As long as it isnt expired its well worth the money. Link to comment
NaNO ReeFiN
Hey kimura, which Petco was it? Do they have anymore kits? Link to comment
Foogoo
I bought the Red Sea Iron/CO2 test kit. You'll have better results using food coloring, didn't work for $%#@. Link to comment
