Disher
Not many topics on the 2g version so I wanted to share my tank and what may come of it. I want to stick with stock everything. No mods*. Boring I know but I can make it work. It's been full for about a week. The scape is a few days old and took a few pieces from an established tank. I'm open to suggestions for the rock work, not sure if I'm happy with it. *I contacted an aqueon rep concerning the light on these tanks. I asked if all three models came with same light. The 8 AE tank comes with a larger light which the rep followed by " I have an extra light that's getting in my way, so I'll send you one." So I upgraded to the larger AE light. Much better. ? I have a few clove polyps, gsp, goniopora, purple gorg, and some red macro. Sounds like a lot but they are all very very small. Let's see if I can downsize my pictures so they will attach! Woah the quality is garbage after downsizing. I'll need help with this folks! Thanks. Link to comment
BattleAthletics
Try using Flickr or another image hosting to post your tank pictures. The sites internal storage isn't much and you'll eventually be limited to how many pictures you can post. What about auto top off? I've found that in my 8g evolve evaporation is a mother fucķer if I didn't have the lid on. You can go to harbor freight and upgrade the pump you have now to a stronger pump. The stock one is shițty. But if you decide to keep it then remove the yellow plastic thing covering the impeller, you can get the most flow out of the pump with that mod. The rocks look like you just stacked them. Break them up and create something different! Link to comment

I did take the yellow flow regulator off and I really think this pump is almost too powerful for this tiny tank but I'll keep it this way for now. As far as the rock work is concerned...Oh boy I wish I was more artistic lol I have changed it but I still don't care for it, such a tiny space is hard to work in. I'll have a picture update soon!! Side note, setting up an RODI unit this weekend! Link to comment
Disher
Update with better pictures! I put the yellow flow regulator back on the pump and wrapped the pump with filter floss to reduce vibration noise, which helped a ton. I think I'll shop around for some nice zoas and eventually add a small goby but not for a long while. kylhcky
If this was your pico, what would you do to it next? out of prefference i'd upgrade the lighting to a par30 with a dimmer and timer, as well as making a little diy media rack out of some egg crate. Link to comment

Maybe one day I'll slap my par38 I have laying around on this tank. And I don't think there's a need for a media basket, filter floss is all I need lol Link to comment

I'm doing manual top offs. Evaporation hasn't been much of an issue so far plus I'm keeping this tank super simple! I feed reef chili every other day and phyto/oyster feed every three days or so. I also add a mL of two fishes A and B every two days. When I do a water change I take the pump out and siphon all crud that collects in the back two chambers. I also discard filter floss and replace with new. I change out a gallon which is close to 75% of total volume with coral pro mix. Link to comment
