matty0206
After a short break from having a tank, I set up a biocube and am looking for suggestions on active fish species that I can stock it with. I don't have a preference really on species but want lots of movement. The tank will be all Euphyllia species and maybe some softies for coral. The main reason for restarting the tank aside from missing having one is my daughter, she loves to watch the fish, hence my wanting lots of movement. Any suggestions would be great. ktipp
Well any clownfish is great. Reef safe wrasse are good and move around a lot. I actually have 2 snowflake clowns and a 6 line wrasse in my 29g. Link to comment
matty0206
I think I will skip clowns this time around, I have had them in every tank I have ever owned. I guess maybe iI'm looking for suggestions of less seen species, I have had a lot of fish over the years but one I have never had is an eel. Anyone think a dwarf golden moray would be ok in this tank? Link to comment
rone_kevin66
Ya you can keep a dwarf golden but they are hard to find and are expensive Link to comment
Admonition
Six line wrasse for sure. Mine never stops swimming everywhere. Link to comment
moparcolt
I have two clown fish, a diamond goby a six line wrasse and a coral beauty in mine. I had a potters angel before the coral beauty and he was great but I went out of town for a week and someone forgot to feed the fish. Link to comment
Nano36
If you do decide to get some sort of eel make sure to glue the tank shut and weight it down with a brick to be safe. Link to comment
1.0reef
Dartfish or a smaller basslet, plus a small goby would be a nice combo. Link to comment
BluCrab
Active? ...Yellow Watchman, Glass Cardinal are some of my favorite. Link to comment
vlangel
Live aquaria says 30 gallons for a midas blenny and they are pretty active and a little eel-like if you can't get the dwarf golden eel. Link to comment
matty0206
Never had dartfish before, maybe a possibility. I'm crossing my fingers for the dwarf golden, will find out this week. Link to comment
afyounie
I've got three firefish and they swim about together, flicking that top fin, picking at the particles that float by. Chromis are also nice and active. Help to make the more timid fish comfortable. +1 on wrasses. I have a small Solar Fairy and he is everywhere all the time. Awesome fish. Link to comment
GT350pwns
Midas blennys are awesome fish with great personalities and will do well in a 29g Link to comment
