OCREEFLOVER
I have a Fluval m40 aquarium and would like to upgrade the lighting to nanobox led. The tank is a 16" cube and I would like to keep sps if possible. What fixture would work best for my setup? Thanks for the input Link to comment
Horerczy
Duo if you want full sps. A tide might be able to do the job if you do low light corals around the edges. Link to comment
OCREEFLOVER
What about the mono? Link to comment
Horerczy
Dave doesn't make the mono anymore. It didn't sell a lot. Instead the mini tide got the board from the mono when it retired. Since them there's been two board revisions and all units use the same 13 led board. The tide uses one, the duo two. If you check out the V3 board thread a few threads down there's a very nice picture of the board Dave uses now. Link to comment
OCREEFLOVER
Ok, I guess I will look into the duo. Will the tide cover a 16" area? Link to comment
DaveFason
Ok, I guess I will look into the duo. Will the tide cover a 16" area? Honestly I think you will be fine with the Tide. If you go SPS every square inch, go Duo. I used a Tide over a 24"x14"x14" with SPS in center and montis on corners and they did just fine! If you look around you may find a Aqua illuminations nano for cheap... Saltwateraquarium.com had them in the open box clearance section for like 159...I paid 270 back in the day. I run one on my 26x15x10 tank and the spread is still enough If you don't mind please PM privately, this is my sponsor forum. Link to comment
