Once you come to terms with the limitations of these small tanks, I think you'll find them to be MUCH easier than more traditional systems in terms of time consumption and maintenance. Christopher Marks Posted August 27, 2002 Share Posted August 27, 2002 Great! The best way to get started is to come up with a plan first. Base it off of ideas that you see other people doing with their tanks. Decide on the size, lighting, filtration, and what fish/corals you hope to keep. Then tell us and we'll help you out with changes if needed One concideration for work is vacations and weekends...you have to make sure that the tank isn't left alone for more than 2 days or so, or atleast have someone else that can add top off water for you.
