Hitch hiker starfish (kill it with fire or reef safe?)

corals many times re colonize skeleton portions, as long as some polyps are alive. i'd suggest you go to the tank at dark night and with a flashlight find and remove every one, keep at it until all are removed.

Okay, hopefully it can grow back. And I'll check tonight and look for more. I did just find a new starfish, like the ones Hypostatic posted. It is small, almost the size of a dime, and this one has six legs instead of the five the last one had. He's definitely different looking than the other one.

 

Any opinions on if he's good? Or should I just get rid of all hitchhiker starfish reguardless.

I lost all my asterina in my tank crash. I hope a couple survived to repopulate the tank. I never had a lot or asterinas or micro brittle stars.
