nanofootball
I am wondering if double ended metal halide bulbs are polar. My ballast's lamp leads are both blue so I am wondering how I could tell how to wire it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Link to comment
RobinsonFam1
contact the manufacturer of the ballast. or search the web for a wiring diagram or schematic for that particular ballast. HTH BR Link to comment
nanofootball
I have found the schematic for both the lamp (Ushio 70W DE) and the ballast (Aromat 3EU) and nothing gives any indication that either are polar. However, someone else told me that maybe the problem was polarity so I decided to post it here. Link to comment
nanofootball
I have also tried the same ballast on two different bulbs so I am assuming that my problem is simply a faulty ballast. I would also like to know if anyone out there knows how to test a metal halide ballast with a VOM. Link to comment
