cnseekatz
I've got a brand new setup, coming to the end of its initial cycle, with about 10-15g worth of refugium in my 30g sump. I want this to be an "actual" refugium, where pods can grow and multiply in peace. No predators. I have about 1" of sand, some live rock, and a few different types of macro-algae. So my question is whether or not I can put pulsing xenia & kenya trees in the 'fuge. I know they primarily feed on dissolved organics, and photosynthesis, but will they eat pods too? Link to comment
farkwar
If you prune monthly, it will be an honest nutrient export. All my pods live in my tank and not my fuge. You don't need a fuge to grow pods. Link to comment
