kidnamedtim
Hello N-reef, I set up a 29 oceanic biocube 2 weeks ago. The tank started cycling with live sand, live and dry rock, 3/4 tank filled with natural ocean water (from Petco), and the other 1/4 tank with mixed water. After doing tests, it seems I am ready to go with 0 ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.... Question: Is it possible that my tank is ready in 2 weeks? Is it because of the natural ocean water? or should I wait? Link to comment
ElmoC
If your nitrates are 0, your tank hasn't cycled. You need to add an ammonia source to feed the cycle. You can ghost feed (put food in with nothing to eat it), or add some pure ammonia. Don't use ammonia that has fragrance or surfactants. Link to comment
