cju84
You can use Super Glue GEL and/or Epoxy. Both are fine and they actually 'set' underwater. I use Loctite Gel and not sure what the epoxy is, but you can order from Amazon or go to Home Depot. Link to comment
atrox
Make sure you get super glue gel it's easier to work with. Get some of the two part clay as well. Use the clay and glue together. Form a ball apply glue to rock then clay, then glue to wall. The clay needs time to harden so the glue will hold it while it sets. Link to comment
jestep
^+1 The super glue gel, epoxy sandwich is the best way to get it to stick underwater. As far as attaching to glass, I've had a lot better luck draining and drying the area first. Since the glass is smooth, it's a lot harder to get a permanent bond underwater. Most coral are fine being out of the water for 5 or 10 minutes which is typically enough to glue something to the tank if well planned. Link to comment
GHill762
both are fine, I get an epoxy stick from home depot and I prefer the loctite gel control for super glue.. keep in mind that if you use epoxy, your skimmer will go nuts for a while, possibly up to a week depending on how much you use.. threads like that tend to pop up a couple days after someone asks if epoxy is okay to use Link to comment
Bigmack0509
What brand epoxy would you recomened? Im not attaching it the back just building it up then going to have it in the back of the tank Link to comment
jestep
Water weld or aquamend both work fine and are normally available at lowes or HD or ace. I really like the red TLF aquastick because it's already red/purple and tends to blend a lot better. Link to comment
Bigmack0509
Thank you everybody looks like I'm going to hd! Link to comment
{8ry}
I've used both, super glue for frags and the water weld stuff for my rock work. The water weld stuff works well after it cures but it's kinda a PITA to work with. You really have to mush it into the rock to make it stick under water. Link to comment
ClaireRenee
Another thing about the water weld is that it can cause your skimmer to go crazy, but it is safe. Link to comment
