JIM27
This is the second time I've spotted this little slug thing in my tank. It looks to be about 1/2 inch long. Anyone know what it is and have any info? Link to comment
NaNO ReeFiN
I have those in my tank as well. Mine came from when I purchased corals, they just hitched a ride in my bag on the way home, I didn't want to flush them so I added them to my tank... I've noticed their in the display tanks at my LFS's at well so I figured they be okay. Link to comment
cal3v
I have a few of these as well. Stomatella snails I believe. Great algae eaters. Link to comment
printerdown01
Yup def stomatella varia! These guys are excellent algae eater!! They are nocturnal and surprisingly fast as they sweep across rocks and glass! I had one of these guys, but lost him in the move between college and home... Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
Ditto on the stomatella snails- they're kind of neat looking, will come in different colors and will reproduce quite a bit in your tank. My hermits sometimes catch one and eat it and it helps keep the numbers down. Tasha Link to comment
Sahin
Thats looks very much like a stomatella. As said, they are very good alage eaters. I have about 5 in my tank. They are pretty cool, come out mostly int he darker hours. Link to comment
MattGecko
I had about 5 of them, cool little slugs. A lot of baby snails & slugs have been appearing over the last couple of weeks. Link to comment
SaltyinNJ
I have one of those in my tank also. It seems to be out grazing most of the time. It definitely is a good algae eater. Link to comment
Christopher Marks
When I first saw one of those in my 90 reef, I thought one of my turbo snails had lost it's shell LOL Link to comment
