This is the second time I've spotted this little slug thing in my tank. It looks to be about 1/2 inch long. Anyone know what it is and have any info?

I have those in my tank as well. Mine came from when I purchased corals, they just hitched a ride in my bag on the way home, I didn't want to flush them so I added them to my tank... :) I've noticed their in the display tanks at my LFS's at well so I figured they be okay.

Yup def stomatella varia! These guys are excellent algae eater!! They are nocturnal and surprisingly fast as they sweep across rocks and glass! I had one of these guys, but lost him in the move between college and home... :(

Ditto on the stomatella snails- they're kind of neat looking, will come in different colors and will reproduce quite a bit in your tank. My hermits sometimes catch one and eat it and it helps keep the numbers down.

As said, they are very good alage eaters.

I have about 5 in my tank. They are pretty cool, come out mostly int he darker hours.
